    advertising is the most expensive and most useless way of spending your money. if you want to succeed in advertising, you should be excellent at it. the best way to market your product is through leads, if you have a website – linking and blogging and forum installation in your site, word of mouth plays an important role to some of the businesses, and being creative and thinking outside the box gives you many advantages. hope that was useful.

    In order for a business to be successful, it must have customers. In order to attract customers, people have to know about it. Thus, advertising is extremely important. This said, however, advertising can take many forms, and doesn’t necessarily have to cost a lot of money or follow mainstream types of print, radio or television advertising. Grassroots, networking and word of mouth advertising typically provide the best leads at the lowest cost.

    A rather simplified answer to this is:

    If when you say the marketing mix you mean the good old fashioned 4 P’s then it more or less has importance in all of them.

    Product – Advertising can help introduce a product or service ;

    Price – it can give an indication of the price either overtly (e.g. Stella Artois – "Reassuringly Expensive") or covertly by high end production value or association with aspirational living / lifestyles;

    Place – not as impactful on this as the other Ps unless of course the product / sevice is delivered online;

    Promotion – the most appropriate of all the 4 P’s for adverstising. It remains one of the key communicators of a product / services values, benefits, price, brand values etc etc

    How succesful a method it is, is another question all together
